What I'm Currently Reading

Happy friday! I thought I would pop in quickly to give you all a reading list update. It's been on my mind recently since I just finished a great book and I wanted to share it with you all. It's been a while since I last did one. Since then, I have read Women Who Work: Rewriting the Rules for Success by Ivanka Trump, Wild by Cheryl Strayed, The Design of Everyday Things by Donald A. Norman,  Spoken from the Heart by Laura Bush, and Harry Potter and the Cursed Child by J.K. Rowling. I must say I truly enjoyed them all. Other than Harry Potter, they were all pretty tough reads. The Design of Everyday Things by Donald A. Norman read sort of like a textbook. It was very interesting but took a while to get through.

Anyways, my sister and I go to Barnes and Noble at least every weekend. We spend hours just browsing through new releases and reading some of our favorites at the cafe there. I like to try new books, but I hate buying them if I end up not liking it for some reason. It's the perfect way to pick out a couple, then read the first few chapters before I end up buying. Also, you can get some great deals at B&N. I love book recommendations, but I also like to just browse and see what treasures I can find on my own.

Specifically, I stumbled on If I Forget You by Thomas Christopher Greene. It's his newest release. Maybe you have heard of his other book The Headmaster's Wife?

Well... I devoured this book. Destiny or fate, whatever you call it, I'm a sucker for a good love story. While nothing in the story was extremely exciting or fast paced, the prose was simply artful. I couldn't stop reading! The story just seemed to float off the pages. I highly recommend if you're looking for an easy and lovely read!

Books on the horizon:
All Summer Long by Dorothea Benton Frank
The Catcher in the Rye by J.D. Salinger
Old School by Tobias Wolff
This Side of Paradise by John Knowles
A Good School by Richard Yates
True Compass by Edward M. Kennedy
