This was honestly the first year I went to an actual Halloween party. Don't get me wrong, I like old Disney Channel Halloween movies and candy as much as the next 21-year-old, but I'm definitely not one to go 'all out'. Costumes and haunted houses are not my thing. This year, though, I had to come up with a costume last minute, but I'm not a fan of ones that are too revealing and risqué costumes. I find it so hard to put together a costume that is conservative and comfortable, yet fun and classy. Am I reaching for the stars here?
What was I, you ask? I went as Vivian Kensington from Legally Blonde, and my twin sister went as her friend Claire. Iconic duo, I know.
The best part? I didn't have to buy anything for the look. I wear headbands on the reg and a sweater over my shoulders when I'm feeling it. Luckily I had a turtleneck (Question: Are they coming back in style or am I just looking for any excuse to hide my double chin?), and I just cut my hair so it worked out perfectly.
I loooove Legally Blonde. Like.. too much. While I prefer Elle's personality, I have always liked Vivian's classic style. Sometimes too conservative and snooty, but she sure does know how to rock a headband and pearls. Here are some of her looks from Legally Blonde. You could honestly recreate any of them easily.
I am attending another Halloween party this weekend, and I'm thinking of going as a tennis player. Easy peasy. I have a racquet, a pleated skirt, Stan Smiths, Lacoste, and plenty of tennis whites. I'll post about it later, but I will also post pictures on Instagram so follow me @taylor.a.anthony!
What were you for Halloween this year?
