Summertime Tweed

Jacket // Shirt // Shorts
Shoes // Sunglasses //  Bracelet // Watch

It's already mid-July?? This can't be real. It's been such a busy summer for me, hence the lack of blog posts the past few months. Sorry!! I promise things will be more consistent when school starts back in the fall. More details to come, but this summer, I am doing an internship which has me constantly busy and traveling literally 24/7. Be sure to follow along on Instagram and Snapchat (@tayloraanthony) stories, though! I update those regularly.

Funny story about this jacket though... Last semester at my other internship, I saw a girl wearing it and thought it was just the cutest blazer I had ever seen. I went online and started doing some research, not knowing what brand or anything. I was typing in "bell-sleeve tweed blazer" and such. Eventually, I spotted it on Ann Taylor LOFT, and it was on major sale. I never hit 'add to cart' so fast.

Anyways, I have become obsessed with tweed. Specifically, jackets. I have always loved a good blazer. I think it dresses up almost any outfit. But for me, it was strictly a fall/winter piece. Collar-less jackets are my favorite. It can dress up a casual outfit, yet can dress down a formal outfit... if that makes sense? I definitely do not have seasonal wardrobes. I tend to buy items that I can mix and match and wear year-round.

I know bell-sleeve is a trend (and I usually stray away from trends), but these are pretty subtle. It's actually pretty flexible for being tweed, so it's very comfortable. Mine is the navy/light blue tweed, but they also have it in a pink/navy. It runs pretty true to size, but since is not fitted, I bought it in a petite size. If anything, I would size up because the sleeves run a little small.

It's all about balance in the summer. I paired this jacket with a sleeveless peplum shirt and white chino shorts with my loafers. Even in the Georgia heat, it was light enough of a blazer to throw on. The sleeves are also cropped, which definitely helped. Also, RIP to my Ray-Ban Clubmasters. They are currently missing, so if there's a good sale on them, let me know! Feeling very lost without them. I have linked some of my other favorite tweed blazers and jackets below that are perfect even for the summer.
