Okay, it pains me to say this, but I think my sister has better style than me. Being twins, we grew up always sharing everything. Birthdays, clothes, a room, a car, a sport, and now, a college. I used to absolutely hate it, but I actually really like sharing everything. I mean.. two closets? Yes, please. She is a little more trendy and likes to branch out, whereas I usually stick to tried-and-true classics.
I l-o-v-e anything gingham. The pattern is fresh, classic, and especially easy to wear during the summer months. I tend to stray away from trends and stick to the tried-and-true classics. And I know, off the shoulder tops are very "it" right now, but gingham will always be in style. My favorite pairing is a gingham oxford button-down with white chino shorts. The shirt is extremely comfortable and overall a really easy to wear piece. My sister wears it untucked for a more casual look, but I think it would be so cute to tuck it into a skirt for a more dressed up look. And then as the fall approaches, throw on a field jacket or Barbour overtop.
Since the top (for me) is a little dramatic and top-heavy, I try to pair things like this with slimmer and simpler bottoms like a pair of chinos or crop pants with loafers.
Have a wonderful day!
