Okay, so this might be one of my favorite looks so far. With my internship, I had to get a few new pieces to dress up my wardrobe a little bit. The typical college outfit of a t-shirt and Nike shorts just wasn't going to cut it.
I got this red pleated skirt the other day and I love the structure of it. While it is a little on the fancier side, I think you could wear it for multiple occasions. The red skirt just pops with the all black and white. It is a tad bit shorter than a midi skirt and, I wanted it to hit just above the knee. I found the same skirt in the petite section of Ann Taylor and went up a size, so it would be a little shorter.
There isn't any elastic in the waist so I would suggest going up a size for comfort. The length is so perfect for work. Unfortunately, everyone else loved it too, so it is sold out, but they do have it in black. More chic and versatile if you ask me. The price point is pretty affordable with currently 60% off, especially for the high quality material. Best purchase of 2017 so far!
The crop hounds tooth blazer is something I have had for a while. It looks so great with A-line dresses and skirts. Crop jackets have become my new obsession since I started an internship. Much comfier than a blazer.
My purse was a gift this past Christmas, and so, so perfect. Kate Spade has done it again with the adorable scallops lining the top. And the black patent leather 'dresses' up any ensemble.
My shoes are also a new purchase for work. Flats are a must because I am constantly walking up and down stairs. They sort of look like the Salvatore Ferragamo flats, but much cheaper. These are suede and only $46. Um... one in every color please. I'm getting another pair for my sister as well as the ones in nude.
I don't do much in terms of everyday jewelry. I stick to peal earrings and my Daniel Wellington watch. What I do want to get is the leather black band for my watch. I currently have one in dark brown which I love, but now that I have so many black pieces, I want to expand my choices!
Have a fabulous day!
