Classic Fall Movies and Show

(boston, ma)

Even though everyone celebrates the Christmas season the minute it is November 1, (me included), Let's not forget that it is still fall! Especially in the south where it's 65 degrees and sunny. It seems like everyone wishes away fall for the Holiday season, but personally, I am savoring the brisk evenings and colorful autumn foliage for as long as I can.

Since being in college, I hardly ever watch TV. If I do, I usually watch a series on Netflix or something and have it playing in the background while I study.  However, when I do watch a movie or show, I have the hardest time choosing. By the time I scroll through, I get bored and just end up watching a few episodes of a series I have already watched a dozen times. I am dying for some new content. (So any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!!)

There is just something about the cold weather that makes me want to snuggle with a blanket by a fire, sipping apple cider and watching a movie. I am definitely more of a movie person. I get so invested in the plot and characters. It's like I'm transported to another world for 2 1/2 hours. That being said, I do love a good series to keep up with long-term.

Either way, here are a few of my top movie/show picks for the fall season. I love good classics, but there are some more recent ones thrown in there too.

Also to note, I am so excited about the GILMORE GIRLS REVIVAL this week!! I grew up watching the show, and have been anxiously waiting for the 4-part revival series to come out. The whole series has quintessential New England scenery, not to mention a pretty amazing cast. Emily Gilmore's house? Totally goals! I can't wait to see how the characters and their lives have turned out!

The Parent Trap
I have a twin sister so I totally relate to this movie 100%. I love the twins and the parents' relationship. Also, their dinner on the cruise? Swoon. Classic summer camps, fancy hotels, classy style, and California vineyards. Yes, please!

love Matthew McConaughey. He is honestly one of my favorite actors, and I can quote this whole movie. No joke.

The Crown
I just started this series because it just aired on Netflix! Personally, I love keeping up with the Royal Family. Kate, Dutchess of Cambridge, is my actual fashion idol. The series is centered around Queen Elizabeth's life. I'll keep you posted on how I like it.

Also, just started this show. It's an old show, but has great reviews. I really get into politics, so I am excited to watch this series.

All. Time. Fav. Steve Martin is so so funny, not to mention Kimberly Williams is married to Brad Paisley, in real life, and they are the cutest!

I went to the Plaza and the Eloise store last spring. I grew up with Eloise, so this is extremely nostalgic for me during the holidays.
