Skincare Routine + Clarisonic Mia 2

**This is a sponsored post in partnership with Clarisonic and Her Campus Media. All words and opinions are my own. **

I have gotten many emails and requests to do a skincare routine post, but to tell you the truth, I've never been up-to-date on the latest and greatest skincare products. I have always been a drugstore cleanser kind of girl. In high school, I never really had a skincare routine, but as I get older (ick), I feel like I should be trying to take care of myself. I have been really lucky in the skin department. I haven't really ever had bad skin, but then I got to college and the whole "stress" thing would lead to the occasional breakout. That's when I started a skincare regimen.

never go to bed with my makeup on. That is the number one skin care tip that my mom has stressed to me. (You are just asking for breakouts and poor skin!) I have had various skin care routines over the years, but I finally have a good system in place that seems to be working. It's really only based on trial & error plus a little luck. I always wash my face with Clean and Clear Dail Acne Cleanser whenever I take a shower and before I go to bed. For spot treatment for any noticeable pimples, I use Clean and Clear Advantage Mark Treatment. They are both inexpensive and work well as a daily cleanser. I then finish it off with moisturizing. (Something that I need to be better at) I have a naturally oily skin-type, so I use Neutrogena Oil-Free Moisturizer with SPF 15.

I've been intrigued by Clarisonic for a while. I have a few friends who are beauty junkies and swear by it. When the opportunity to collaborate with Clarisonic came up, I was really excited to work with them. I have been using the Clarisonic Mia 2 for over a month now. I'm honestly not sure how I lived without this. Seriously, it's like taking a trip to the spa. It's literally like a toothbrush for your face. I feel like I get a facial every single night!

The first time I used it, I was impressed. It was gentle, yet firm enough to really clean my skin. The first noticeable result was the smoothness of my face. I mean, it's incredible. I couldn't stop touching it.

I can definitely tell you that I'm obsessed with the Clarisonic. It probably falls into the category of miracle workers. It just cleans so much deeper than using my hands. I use it in the shower and in the morning before putting on my makeup. You just press the button and move it around your face. (It has two speeds) As mentioned earlier, my problem areas are my forehead, nose, and chin. The Clarisonic has "beep alerts" that remind you to move onto the next area... super helpful.

With all of the traveling that I do for golf tournaments and vacations, it's small and easy to travel with. The Mia 2 is honestly the perfect size for a college student like me. It even comes in a handy travel case. My Clarisonic Deep Pore Mia 2 Set came with a Mia 2 device, Deep Pore Daily Cleanser, Deep Pore Clay Mask, and Deep Pore Brush Head. The daily cleanser is perfect for taking my makeup off and just cleaning my skin (aka remove dirt and oil). I use it as a base for my skincare regimen. I will use the daily cleanser first, then use Clean and Clear (both with the brush). The Detoxifying Clay Mask is probably my favorite part, though. I use it twice a week. I leave it on for 15 minutes, then rinse with warm water. It makes my skin feel extra soft and clean. Both the brush and cleaners are happily added into my skincare rotation (no pun intended). I'm honestly not sure how I lived without a Clarisonic before this. One of the things I love about it is that it is so easy to incorporate into my existing skincare regime. There are some things you should cheap out on, but skincare shouldn't be one of them! It's worth the splurge.

Seriously. Try it out. Use "HERCAMPUS" to get 15% off at Nordstrom until Oct. 31! Just in time for the holiday season gift for yourself or someone else!
