Iced Passion Tea Lemonade

I am usually a coffee drinker, but occasionally I go on coffee-free streaks when I'm feeling guilty about the massive amounts caffeine I intake and/or money I spend at coffee shops.

I try to switch to tea because of the all the health benefits, less calories, blah blah blah. The only problem is that hot tea tastes like straight hot water and sweet tea is way to sweet. I clearly didn't get the memo that southerner's love sweet tea.

Nonetheless, I ordered the Passion Tea Lemonade per recommendation from my friend, and it was actually really good.  I could taste the fruity tea, yet the lemonade gave it the non-tea flavor. Great drink year around, but especially in the spring or summer.

During my trip to Kiawah Island I wanted this drink but there wasn't a nearby Starbucks. I found a recipe that almost exactly replicates the drink. So simple, so much cheaper, and at least a little healthier than iced coffee. The recipe is super simple. You can make it easiest by buying lemon aid and just adding in tea.

I made a pitcher of it and kept it in the fridge for the week. It was so wonderful.

Ingredients
Tazo Iced Passion Tea Bags - 1 tea bag makes a pitcher of tea
Water
Lemonade: I prefer Simply Lemonade
Ice

Directions
Prepare iced tea according to package directions.
Add ice to a large glass, fill 3/4 with iced passion tea and 1/4 with lemonade.
Enjoy!
