Coffee at Ralph's

And so my obsession and fascination with Ralph Lauren continues... over coffee. When I found out that the three-story Ralph Lauren POLO Flagship Store on 5th Avenue in Manhattan was five minutes away from the hotel I was staying at in New York, I cried.

When I discovered that there was a coffee shop tucked away on the third floor inside the store, I cried some more.

Most coffee shops in downtown Manhattan have little to no seating. I found that most New Yorkers usually grab their coffee and keep on walking. This was really hard to get used to considering I am the kind of person who sits in coffee shops for hours. All I wanted was to leisurely drink my coffee, rest my feet, and plan out my activities for the day. Is that too much to ask??

Ralph's was the answer to my prayers. It is the cutest coffee shop I had ever seen. And I got my caffeine fix and shopping fix all at the same time.

The Inspiring Interiors

The ambience was my absolute favorite. From the dark green and white color scheme to the mosaic tiled floors and the dark oak walls. It was all so, well, Ralph Lauren.

It resembled a Parisian café and a classic American home at the same time. It was a refreshing change to all of the stop-and-go coffee shops that are packed in every street crevasse. Ralph's has plenty of seating and the decor makes you feel like you are sitting in RL's kitchen. The contrast of the white marble and dark oak was to die for. Even the staff looked the part with green striped button-downs and khakis with the signature embroidered Ralph's apron.

The Menu

As if the atmosphere wasn't enough, the coffee is just as good. I thought to myself that it was mainly for looks. How good can coffee in a clothing store be anyways? It was surprisingly delicious!
The menu is short, but focuses on the core items: Ralph's Roast, decaf, espresso, cappuccinos, iced coffee, and lattes. The menu also consists of sweet treats such as cookies, brownies, scones, and even sandwiches. I had the lemon poppy seed muffin, an iced coffee, and a latte. Basically ordered one of everything.

It's easy to forget that there is the hustle and bustle world of New York just right outside. I truly fell in love with the Ralph Lauren brand all over again and could not leave without purchasing a mug for myself. If you are ever in New York, you have to stop here. Finger's crossed that one opens up in Atlanta. Looking at you, Ralph.
