"Snow Cream" Frappuccino!

I'm pretty sure everyone has made or at least heard of "Snow Cream" in their lifetime. It's basically ice cream that you can make out of snow with milk, vanilla, and sugar. Well, that's exactly what it is...basic. I decided to experiment a little with it, and came up with the greatest thing ever created. I'm not kidding. I know... making snow cream sounds a little childish, but a snow cream frappuccino appeals to a more adult taste.

We got about 5 inches of snow in the past couple of days, and today it's starting to melt rapidly. I live in Georgia so snow is already pretty rare, and when it does happen, it does not stay long. I wasn't about to miss out, so I got a large bowl, filled it with snow, and put it in the freezer until I decided what to do with it. And I did make snow cream at first, but it was then that I came up with the idea of making it a frozen coffee drink.  It turned out great and I, for one, love coffee. Because the roads were iced over, I couldn't just take a quick run to Starbucks for my coffee, so I was in desperate need of a coffee fix.

From beginning to finish, it only takes about 5 minutes to make. Definitely a lot shorter than it takes to get one at Starbucks!

It makes a singler serving of Caramel Frappuccino, but feel free to double it to make more or substitute chocolate for the caramel.

3-4 Cups of snow
1/3 a can of Sweetened condensed milk
A couple drops of Vanilla
1/4 cup of cold coffee
2 tablespoons of caramel/chocolate syrup

Step 1: Mix snow, condensed milk, and vanilla in a large bowl until smooth.
Step 2: Add coffee and syrup. Mix well.
Step 3: Pour into a glass or mug.
Step 4: Top with whipped cream, syrup, and optional salt or toffee.

Stay warm and stay classy!

P.S: My sister tried it and is now BEGGING me to make her one! haha

What kind of things do you make with snow?
