If you're like me and pretty thrifty, there are wallet friendly items that your boy will love, however; if you want to splurge, there are plenty of options available because we all know preppy is very expensive-y. These items below will fit into every budget, and he will love them, I guarantee it.
Ascarf: Don't deny it, nobody can resist a guy in a scarf. Because scarves are not in the typical boys wardrobe, it takes a guy with confidence and style in order to pull it off. I love the whole man scarf and jacket look and your guy will appreciate your willingness to help him step out of his comfort zone with a gift perfect for the holiday season.
Shoes: There is not a guy I know that doesn't like shoes. Some guys are more obsessed with them than I am, (which is probably impossible), but just thinking theoretically, guys tend to take pride in their footwear. These polo shoes are simple and classy as well as sensible. And they definitely beat scruffy Asics... (Aka: soccer mom shoes)
Cologne: Let's be real, a good smelling guy does something to girls. It's uncontrollable. It's a proven fact that we are much more attracted to you if you smell good. A guy hugs you, and he smells like heaven, and you just don't want him to let you go. It's happened to all of us. Don't act like you don't know what I'm saying. Pick him out something that smells good to you and to him as well. For example: Burberry Touch!
Awatch: Preppy guys must have a watch. This may sound weird, but I am completely turned off by guys who have Velcro watches. We are not in middle school anymore. If he has a Velcro watch, don't read below to any more items. Go out and buy him one...ASAP.
Belt: Such an easy gift. All guys use belts, so getting him a nice Vineyard Vines belt will be the best option. I mean, who doesn't like guy with whales on his belt ;)
Socks: I know, I know...socks? Well, studies show that guys prefer socks as gifts because it's something that practical, and they normally would buy on a normal basis if theirs are looking worn. If you're short on time and money, these RL socks will do the trick, but they aren't at the top of my list.
Shepshirt: I can't resist a guy in a Shep shirt for some reason. Especially the guy in the picture...yummy! This salmon and navy striped one is absolutely to die for.
Bowtie: Contrary to the picture above, I believe a guy should be able to tie his own bow tie. It's just sad if you can't. A bow tie is a great gift to get because it can update a wardrobe almost immediately. It's bow tie or no tie, right ladies?!
So there you have it. The 8 best gifts to give your preppy guy this Christmas! Or Hanukkah... Or just because!
